1/16 Scouting trip

Trip Summary

Spent a morning scouting for new "holes" Saturday 1/16/21 in the creeks off the river. It was very windy and cold making early fishing tough on the outgoing tide. As the day warmed up and the water got lower had success finding 3 more spots that all produced either trout or redfish. Nothing huge but, the reds were all 16 to 20 inches and some small trout. I tried some new baits as well but, the old faithfuls were what worked. DOA paddle tails with 1/8th jig head or the same jig with a shrimp. Used a #2 wide gap hook with a split shot about a foot up with live shrimp too and that has always worked well.
