Summary

Two more 10hr trips with the Carpenters. Having a heck of a time getting fish past the sharks and goliath groupers. Pulled up a head of what was previously a nice mangrove snapper on one drop.  The amberjacks were swarming around the boat at one point you couldn’t get your bait passed them. Landed about a half dozen each trip.  Also had red snappers to 25lb swimming around behind the boat a few at a time even that put up a great fight on heavy spinning tackle even though they had to be released. Always a pleasure to fish with these anglers and hope to do it again soon!

There's tons of menhaden and mullet in the river and has been the bait of choice. Been getting nice size trout with some over 20".
