Lake Tawakoni has been excellent for White Bass! Almost every long shallow main lake point has huge schools of these feisty fighters chasing bait at Sun up and then for an hour of so afterwards! After that we look for steep break lines nearby and bounce our RSR slabs and get a close to a limit of fish. When that doesn't work we pull out our trusty Hellbenders with tandem jigs from 4B Baits & Jig Heads attached and go to work on shallow structure to put a few more fish in the box. Now is a great time to get out with the kids on the water before school starts again. Water temps of both lakes is in the low to mid 80's and water clarity is good.
