It was time to fill up the boat again but the ocean was like a lake so after the pump I shot right out of the inlet and made about a 12 mile run up the coast. After a bunch of bluefish, a little more searching and some patience I hit gold with a large school of spanish mackeral busting on bait like crazy!! I casted out the diamond jig and it was on like donkey kong! I caught a quick 3 for dinner and left them biting. The fish are tremendous eating and a bunch of fun to catch. Mixed in with false albacore and bluefish the “nearshore special run and gun trip” is an awesome way to spend a day. Book your trip before this fish move out!
