2022 PESCADORA BILLFISH CHAMPIONSHIP ! What a total blast we just had for this weekends LADIES ONLY Pescadora Billfish Championship Team So-FISH-Ticated from Maryland joined us aboard GOOD DAY, such a great group of ladies and we could not have asked for a better team. Huge thanks to Dawn Vacek Jernigan Lindsay Murphy , Megan, Angela & Rachael for bringing their A-GAME from start to finish. They were a total blast, #fishhard & kept the party going even when the bite was slow. Practice Day 2 Sailfish from 5 raised 2 Dorados 1 Tuna *we had 1st ever Sails, 1st Tuna & 1st Dorados today ? Day 1 - Tournament 1 Dorado 29lb Missed 1 Sail, lost a Tuna *A slow day but the girls were DELIGHTED to reach the scales and weigh a nice sized Dorado! Day 2 - Tournament 2 Sailfish from 3 bites 1 Dorado We raised a Marlin & 3 more Sails that would not bite (6 Sails & 1 Marlin raised total this day) * We picked up a few $$$ for 2nd placed Billfish releases on day 2 in the under 40 foot boat división, just 1 Sail away from taking the daily ! There were SO MANY Sailfish out there swimming on the surface all weekend but the full moon had affected the bite & there were some slow periods of fishing for us. Thankfully spirits were high and everyone had a blast all the same. Huge congrats to the Winners: 1. Tarjeel with 25 Sailfish 2. Bills & Boobs on Billfisher with 16 Sailfish & 1 Marlin 3. Scandalous with 19 Sailfish Top Tuna - Raven with the MPV/Jackpot Slayers team Top Dorado - Offensive Top Gray FishTag Research Tagging Team - Kelly Dawn 323 Billfish were released during the 2 day event including 18 Marlin. 40 Dorado, 16 Tuna and a 50lb plus Wahoo were brought to the scales but MANY more Tuna & Dorado were caught but not weighed. A huge thank you to Samantha & all volunteers who helped in organizing this one of a kind, life changing event for LADIES WHO LOVE TO FISH! We would love to see more of you here in Costa Rica for next years event. We are offering full tuition & tournament practice fishing packages year round for those that would like to work on sharpening their Sport Fishing skills. Fishing Offshore Bluewater tournaments is a marathon not a sprint, but the fun & appreciation increases as your knowledge does and the lifestyle rewards are just amazing for those that are up for the challenge.
