Trip Summary
There are many fish that start to migrate along the coast of Florida during March and April as the water warms up. Large schools of squid Rain Minnows and white baits that include Pilchards, El-Wys, and Menhadden appear in our areas and of course right behind them are the ever popular Spanish Mackerel. Spanish, as they are known in Panama City are caught in the highest numbers of any fish available. The best part is they can be caught on a 4 hour trip in calm waters. Another fish that show up in April is the Cobia (pic above) Cobia are big fish and we sight fish for them by driving down the beach and when spotted we cast artificial lures eels or crabs to them. Cobiua are incredibly strong and some reach over 100lbs! Come book a trip aboard Captain Blacks and let us take you to the fish.
