Muddy conditions are starting to improve as the river began clearing a few days ago. Big northeast winds rolled Lake ontario and bought cold water to the surface. Lake surface temperature is 44 degrees down from 48 degrees a few days ago. Residual waves made the Niagara bar choppy . Caught 1 brown on kwiks. Drifted minnows in the river for trout

Lake surface temperature 48°F. Winds light out of the West. All of the Niagara bar is covered from mud that is being pushed through the river for the past few days. On the West side of the Niagara bar, there was a small stretch of blue water. About 500 yd long or so we were able to troll inside the mudline and 18 to 22 feet of water with. Kwik fish on 3 ways or stickbates.Lakers coho's chinooks and brown trout were caught.This was a 2 boat trip.Mud was definitely a contributing factor to a poor bite.Fish were breaching and eating baitfish all over the place

The day began with somewhat fishable water. But as time went on, the river just got dirtier and dirtier. The only thing that took fish was pulling plugs in as bright of a color i could find.Southwind at over 30 miles an hour is basically what we used to move the boat just faster than the current.
