The guys from Hooked on the Water Apparel Jon, Bobby & Bryan from South Carolina joined us aboard GOOD DAY on Thursday. The weather was stunning & no sooner had we got out there did we see a couple of Sailfish jumping which was a positive start. There was tons of floating debris, trees, logs etc & conditions looked good for some fish. We fished out to 28 miles working a drop off from 300’ to 1700’ in search of Billfish, Tuna & Mahi but it proved to be slow on the troll unfortunately. We found a nice group of spotted dolphins feeding on bait but no sign of any Tuna with them. We did some bottom fishing and the guys caught Snowy Grouper, Grunts, Split Tail Bass, Devil Fish, Glass Eye Snapper, Bonitos, nice to put a bend in the Rods but nothing huge unfortunately. Two of the boats that fished further south had nice days, one with 7 Sailfish & 1 Marlin and the other 2 for 4 on Marlin. We will be back out there tomorrow morning to see if we can find some nice action!
