Trip Summary

Some are very lucky.Mr Trevor got 2 marlin after having lost an estimated 450 pounder early on the way out.Add to that some skipjacks,a yellowfin tuna and a big bull dorado. One of the blue marlins was caught on live bait and all the other fishes on lures.Our customer had a good first trip few years before that with an estimated 550 lbs blue marlin and a 150 lbs yellowfin tuna and lost a bigger marlin on the same trip. Fishing can be that fun at times, you just need to keep trying ....

Our customer was very happy to catch his first ever blue marlin and biggest fish of his life so far.We went out and saw some birds working a school of skipjacks but the fishes did not bite ,we left the school and continued the lure trolling and had a blue marlin hit the long corner lure without a hookup and it came again and this time we got a good hookup and it was fight time.The angler did a very good job and the off season marlin was in the boat in a very short time. Fishing can be very surprising at times.....

We were out on a cloudy morning with a bit of wind.Since there was no activity along the dropoff we headed to the deeper waters.About an hour into the trip we spotted a school of skipjacks a bit far and headed in that direction. We had a strike on the long rigger lure and caught this nice sized sailfish. After that we got into the school and caught 4 skipjacks and lost a few more. We headed back in with 5 fishes and happy customers.
