Great action fly fishing in the laguna san jose! Went out with Austin from texas! AS the charter started I asked if they wanted to catch some bait for our spinning rods just in case the fly fishing was slow but they decided to stick strictly to fly rods and it was a great choice! We casted different flies for a while with only one strike but after changing fly after fly we found that the mullet pattern was the choice of the day! As soon as we changed we had 7+ strikes one after the other one! Landing a nice size tarpon! Austin hooked a 90lbs+ tarpon that took two hours to reel in! Lost him right next to the boat as we were holding the leader to bring him in!
