Yesterday was day 3 for Dave & Derrick aboard GOOD DAY here at Marina Pez Vela Costa Rica. After falling short during our Billfish on the Fly mission the previous day we opted to target Roosterfish during the guy’s final day with us. We set out for an early start & managed to get off to a flyer catching 2 Roosterfish & a Jack in the first hour. Both guys were delighted to catch their first ever Roosterfish & we got some tags deployed for the 2023 Roosterfish study with Gray FishTag Research We continued to enjoy steady action for the remainder of the 1/2 day trip catching 5 Roosterfish in total up to 40”, 3 of the fish were around 20lbs & 2 of them a little smaller.
