Trip Summary
Half Day adventure -
Weather was nice wind was reasonably calm. We left a little late because we had quests flying in from San Francisco, no problem . I decided to try an area the reports said was slow but I always had great success there. Asked Brian and the gang if they were game- answer lets go. We were off.
We had a pleasant ride out, some good fellowship was present.
I stopped on my first area, little bit windy for a drift but we tried anyway.
While explaining how to use the gear, bang fish on - nice size keeper haddock.
less than a minute latter 2 more haddock.
Brian and the crew did a great job keeping George( 1st mate busy) not many short haddock. We also got 3 nice size cusk, couple whiting, and a few small reds.
One of the high lights was 2 lines getting a hit and it is still going , a porbeagle shark decided he wanted some of our bait. The guy foughtit for about 5 minutes then the line was cut off by the teeth. GREAT FUN
Time to go home we left with a full cooler of fish and George and I where busy fileting the catch.
Great trip Brian awesome guys see you for bass fishing.
Thank You
Capt John
