A great day on the water yesterday with Jon & Ryan from Florida joining us aboard GOOD DAY. We had some solid action in the morning, catching several Roosterfish but we had plenty of missed bites, several lost fish due to pulled hooks & a couple of break-offs. It was fast & furious for 90 minutes & our catch tally could have been much better with a little more luck on our side. As the day developed & the tide went down, the fish completely shut off unfortunately. Both guys were delighted to catch their first ever Roosterfish, 2 of which we tagged for Gray FishTag Research & the 2023 Roosterfish study. Catch Report 3 Roosterfish 1 Jack 1 Needlefish Plus we had a few nice follows from Roosters, Snappers & Barracudas on the Popper. Day off today & then we are Fly Fishing Offshore tomorrow ??
