Mike showed up at our lodging the night before to get a good nights rest before walking across the street to load the boat for an action packed day catching speckled trout and a bunch of bullreds that were released to fight another day. We left the dock early and watched a beautiful sunrise on the way out, we arrived at our first spot, putting a few in the boat until the bullreds and dolphins showed up and busted the spot up. We hit our second spot and it was on. Bait busting all over and fish rite on them. We dropped the live bait and started throwing article soft plastics and top water baits. Watching speckled trout blow those top water baits up was phenomenal.
