Trip Summary
Trip Summary
Fishing was tough this past weekend, when the water is clean, the flounder are biting. The strong west winds stirred up the upper flats causing brown water in the outgoing tide. The incoming was producing much better but the temperature swing was also part of the tough bite. The last of outgoing tide reached 85 degrees Fahrenheit and the incoming water was at 72. Another factor to tough fishing. Sunday morning brought the inshore tautog bite to life with many fish, most being undersized but definitely fun to catch and release. The sheepshead were not interested in eating during our morning trip.
