Snapper (Red)
Trip Summary
Trip Summary
We didn’t hook any big fish while trolling so switched bottom fishing and managed to grab some snapper.
An excellent source of lean protein, snapper’s sweet, mild flavor lends itself well to many flavor profiles making it a popular choice among chefs and home cooks alike. So straight to the grill!
We suggest preheating your grill to medium-high (400˚F-450˚F). Combine paprika, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, salt and cayenne in a small bowl. Brush the snapper all over with oil; sprinkle the seasoning evenly over both sides of the fish, pressing to adhere.
You’ll need only a few minutes and your fish should be good. If you aren’t able to cook your own meal our captain will gladly recommend a restaurant in the Puerto Aventuras marina that will prepare your catch.
