Trip Summary

After a few days of big swell we were able to go fishing. With s lot of dirty rain water in the sea we had to head straight to the deeper waters to get clean water. We had a first strike on the long rigger but did not get a good hookup and after a couple of jumps the marlin got away.We worked the area for a while and had a double hookup on the short and long corner lures.One of the two fishes was lucky to get the hook out and our Russian customer was lucky to get to fight the 250 lbs fish.45 minutes later we had the fish in the boat

It was one of the trips where the fishes were hungry and the customers onboard and the crew alike were kept busy. We ended this trip with 6 dorados,12 skipjacks and 1 yellowfin tuna.

We were out and trying to get a fish on the line for our fishing booker guests but it just was not happening with the fishes not interested in biting at all.Luckily when almost all hope gone and with the last line remaining in the water on the way in we caught a nice sailfish.......to the delight of everybody onboard.

Our customer was very happy to catch his first ever blue marlin and biggest fish of his life so far.We went out and saw some birds working a school of skipjacks but the fishes did not bite ,we left the school and continued the lure trolling and had a blue marlin hit the long corner lure without a hookup and it came again and this time we got a good hookup and it was fight time.The angler did a very good job and the off season marlin was in the boat in a very short time. Fishing can be very surprising at times.....
