Cooler morning temperatures are turning the bite on. The past few weeks fishing has been great with 3 backcountry slams caught in a day the redfish, snook, and trout are eating. Snook season just opened up so this weekends purpose was to bring home fresh snook and that we did along with a lot of other bycatch. The redfish seemed to be everywhere with a quadruple hookup to end the day with only 3 people onboard made for a great end of the trip.

The offshore fishing has been productive this week! Anglers have been enjoying fantastic catches of mahi-mahi,sailfish, wahoo and tuna. The temperature changes in deeper waters have attracted schools of fish, making for exhilarating action. Many visitors reported successful trips with several mahi-mahi ranging from 5-15 pounds, Sailfish have also been making an appearance, providing an exciting challenge for those eager for a thrill. The reefs are teeming with vibrant species, including snapper, grouper, and mutton snapper. Anglers are consistently reeling in nice-sized muttons and mangrove snapper, averaging between 2 to 4 pounds. The day started off with a beautiful sunrise which was shortly followed by redfish tailing the flats. The fish were eating great and the sunrise helped us to get some great pictures. With a changing tide and 2 out of 3 species needed for a slam we decided to make a move to a spot where tarpon frequent and was immediately hooked up with our first tarpon. We ended up catching a couple more tarpon and some more redfish until it was time to head back to the dock which we pulled up to at 1:30pm. We saw numerous species of birds as well as stingrays, sharks, and dolphins.
