INSHORE ROOSTERFISH ACTION ABOARD GOOD DAY! The 5th & final day of Fishing for Harry & Amrit was upon us and we focussed the final day on trying to catch a BIG Roosterfish, a Snook & a Cubera Snapper. We started the day Fishing for Snook over low tide at the Parrita Rivermouth. After a very quiet first hour of no action we headed for the rocks to Fish for Roosters which proved to be a good decision as action came quickly with non stop bites, bent rods, caught fish, lost fish & A LOT of bit off leaders from the Mackerel. Despite persevering & putting many Baits down deep the Big Cubera did not come but we had a blast and caught plenty of fish all the same. Our tally for the day was: 3 Roosters 25lb, 18lb, 12lb 3 good sized Mackerel 7 Jacks 5 Needlefish During the 5 days we managed to catch some great fish both inshore & Offshore including 6 nice Roosterfish. There was a "the one that got away" theme running throughout the days as Amrit was unlucky to lose 3 nice Fish Inshore, 2 of which were big Roosters and 1 which was almost certainly a solid Snapper which pulled her into the Reef. A really awesome week with great people!
