Trip Summary

I had the Marsh and Bayou magazine reach out to me wanting to do an article on Red Snapper since the season had opened early this year. Ray and I took off early out of my dock at 445am and straight offshore we went. We hit the first rig and yielded a few small ones, so we hit another rig close by and literally limited out with 8 beautiful snapper in less then 25 mins. With the rollers getting higher and closer together we decided to leave and head home. On the way in, it started getting calmer, so i decided, i had shrimp left over from yesterday's trip. We hit one spot on the rocks for speckled trout and low and behold, they were there and hungry. We flipped speckled trout over the gunnles of my Bluewave pretty quick. We got our limit and rolled out. The fishing down in Shell Beach Louisiana is as hott as it can get rite now. Dont miss out, come down and check us out.
