Trip Summary

Fantastic 3/4 day local. We targeted yellowtail and with perseverance, we got a bunch. La jolla seems to produce some fantastic size yellows. One of the best fighters, and one of the best tasting fish.

Group were fixed on catching halibut, and thats,exactly a 38” halibut on an anchovy did the trick. San diego bay has some great Halibut fushing.

Windy weather meant we had to change our plans and fish a little tighter to the bank. We headed to the Coronado Bridge. After pulling in a shark and dozens of bass we landed 2 halibut of which one was a keeper.
