Nicks wife booked a trip for him and his dad Pat for a Father’s Day gift. Wind and weather threatened to cancel us but a close look revealed we’d be able to get out. Alrhough hampered by high winds and a slow start we were able to but together an absolutely fantastic day! Guys caught well over 20 fish! Nick caught his personal best smallmouth at 4lbs 1oz then destroyed that record a very short time later with a 5lb beast! Pat started us offwith a 3lb 6oz smallie and caught several other bass. He laid a beatdown on Gaspergou (freshwater drum) however, catching them up to 9lbs with several 6,7 and 8lbers mixed in. I think his arms were tired after the strong fight they put up. Somehow Nick only caught smallmouth today. Overall a great day with a couple of good guys!
