Ron and his brothers Jovan and Dorian had decided to get more outdoors in the last couple years. I was honored that part of that journey was to book a half day trip with Buffalo Bassman Charters. With limited experience we set to work. It was honestly the slowest bite of the season thus far. But determination ruled the day. Setting up for perch, Jovan got the first bites, lost one at the boat then proceeded to catch his biggest perch ever with a 14”+ monster. With nothing biting it was amazing to watch all three brothers, with very limited fishing experience, stay focused for over 6 hours! That dogged determination paid off for Ron. With about 15 minutes left in our day he nailed a beautiful fish pushing 5 lbs. also his personal best! The banter between the four of us kept the day full of stories and laughter. I made another three friends today. Guys were so cool I invited them back on my boat later in the year. It’ll be eldest brother Dorian’s turn then. Another great day!
