I reached out to Kathy as she’d posted on a page I follow and said I’d be in GB for the next two weeks and if she had time on Monday or Tuesday and the wx. Worked out I’d be happy to take her and her son out for a 3-4 hour outing.
She responded and met me at the launch at 6 am and we headed out to 85 fow to start setting up lines. Thanks to @fredwondergem for the heads up on the commercial nets in 82, and they were there. After we had passed them we turned south and started working the 95-100 fow line with everything in our arsenal, spoons, flasher flys and meat. It be came quickly apparent they didn’t want anything to do with meat and flies so went 100% spoons with long leads.
Daniel brought in all the fish and the ones we took pics of were an Atlantic, a butterball of a Coho and some Lake Huron gold, a walleye.. this day was extra special for Daniel as it was his 13th birthday yesterday.. Happy Birthday Daniel
The screen looks as good as I’ve seen it in my years of coming to grand bend. looking forward to a few more trips until the 19tn of July. If you’re interested reach out and we’ll see if we can get you out.
