Leaving Oceanside Harbor only ONE AWAY we spot the first local Tuna of the season. Put lures in the water but no takers. On the way to our fishing spot we were accompanied by a large pod on Common Dolphin for over 15 mins. as some of them they surfed the wake of our boat. Getting close to our spot we started trolling for small Bonito as this would be great fun for everyone. Bonito are the bottom of the Tuna family and pull line hard. We caught 8 doing the troll. Now we anchored up at our spot and started fishing with sardines. After fishing for only 2 hours everyone caught fish. 10 Bonito, 13 Calico Bass, One Sheepshead, one Barracuda. Taking 3 fish home for dinner
