We left the Harbor at 7:30 AM stop at the bait dock for some fresh Sardines and we are on our way to the Deep water Rockcod zone. After catching our limits we moved offshore looking for kelp pattis with maybe Mahi-Mahi on them. No Kelp but at only 5 miles out we came upon a sleeping Stripe Marlin. He woke up and jumped 6 times very close to the boat. It was quite the show as these Marlin are normally much farther offshore. We put the Marlin jigs out and after 1.5 hours we saw 5 different Marlin but no biters so we went inshore and fished for Bass, Sculpin, Sand Bass, Ocean Whitefish and Calico Bass. We caught a total of 43 fish for the day. Lots of Fun
