Trip Summary

Cruising south from Oceanside for 40 minutes we are in the zone to start fishing. We went to spots for nothing and then it the Hot spot for for 14 fish. 5 Big Bocaccio (Salmon Grouper), 2 Rockcod and 7 Sandabs.

We left the dock about 7:45 AM for the bait dock. Picked up some nice anchovy and headed out for the Hot Spot to catch some Bass. We ending up catching 4 different types of fish. Calico and Sand Bass, Green Back Mac and Berry's.

We left the dock at 8:00 AM to buy some live bait. Then traveled for about 45 minutes to the fishing spot. We anchored up and started fishing. After 3 hours of non stop catching we had caught and released 33 fishing and kept 6 for 2 family dinners.

Leaving at 9:00 AM first stop the bait dock. Pick up some nice anchovies for bait. Then 45 minute cruise up to eds to be 2the fishing grounds for Bass. The daughter caught a Halibut 21”. but they need to be 22” to keep. In 2 hours we caught 30 Calico Bass some only 1/2” short. We kept one fish to eat.
