Fishing Report for the Week
What a fantastic week it’s been on the water! We’ve had some incredible catches, and the action has been steady across the reef, wrecks, and bay.
On the Atlantic side, the snapper bite has been on fire. Yellowtail snappers have been plentiful, with many quality fish hitting the decks. We’ve also been landing some solid mangrove snappers along the edges of the reefs. Adding to the excitement, we boated several groupers, including some hefty reds, before releasing a massive Goliath grouper that put up an epic fight.
Over in Florida Bay, Spanish mackerel have been keeping anglers busy with their lightning-fast strikes. These feisty fish have been biting well on live bait and jigs, providing non-stop action.
This mix of species has made for an exciting variety, whether bottom fishing or light tackle action.
Looking ahead, the bite is expected to stay strong as we continue into the new year. If you’re looking to get in on the action, now’s the time to book your trip and experience this incredible fishery firsthand.
Tight lines,
Capt. Robert
