Jacksonville Redfish Report – March 2025 The redfish bite has been on fire lately in the Jacksonville area, with solid numbers of fish being caught in both the backwaters and along the flats. The warming temperatures have the reds actively feeding, and we've been seeing a mix of slot-sized fish (18”-27”) and some upper-slot to over-slot bruisers pushing 30+ inches. Where to Find Them: Shallow Flats: As the water warms, redfish are pushing onto the mudflats and oyster bars during the rising tide.
