Trip Summary

What a great afternoon we had out on the water in South Padre Island, Texas! The crew and I with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures were excited to take James Beseau and his group out for our 5 Hour Fishing Trip (PM). March is a prime time for excellent fishing conditions along the Texas coast, with the warming waters bringing the Spotted Seatrout in close to the shoreline. We met up at the docks right around 1:00 pm and got everyone situated. The weather was perfect - just a few clouds in the sky, keeping things comfortable. As we headed out, the water looked incredible, super clear and calm. We started the trip working some different techniques , mixing in some jigging and light tackle fishing. It didn't take long before the rods started bending - the Spotted Seatrout were on the feed! The group was fired up, reeling in fish left and right. We saw some quality size, too, with a few really nice trout in the mix. The afternoon just flew by, with great action and even better company. In between catching fish, we got to enjoy the peaceful Texas scenery and soak up the sunshine. The guys were all smiles, swapping stories and just having an all-around fantastic time. That's what these trips are all about - getting out on the water, connecting with nature, and creating memories that'll last a lifetime. Had a group of anglers join me for an early morning winter trip on the inshore waters around South Padre Island. We launched at first light with partly cloudy skies overhead, which made for comfortable conditions on the water.
