Trip Summary

We had a fantastic day out on the water with Sergio Betancourt and the crew, exploring the best fishing spots around Rio Hondo, TX. It was a beautiful day, with partly cloudy skies and ideal conditions for a productive fishing adventure. As we headed out, I knew we were in for a treat – March is a prime time for targeting Spotted Seatrout and Redfish in these waters. The fish are actively feeding, and the mild weather makes for comfortable time on the boat. We started the day with some deep sea fishing, working a variety of lures and live bait to entice the big ones. It didn't take long before we started hooking into some nice Spotted Seatrout, their shimmering sides flashing as they put up a great fight. The action just kept getting better as we shifted to some light tackle jigging and drift fishing. The Redfish were really fired up, eagerly smashing our offerings and giving us some incredible runs. Sergio and the group were all smiles, reeling in fish after fish and filling our cooler with some quality keepers. Between the steady bites and the beautiful scenery, it was the perfect day to be out on the water. Half Day Morning Bay Trip: Solid Redfish
Half Day Morning Bay Trip: Solid Redfish
September 5, 2025
Ruben and their crew joined us for an early morning fall trip with clear conditions throughout the day. The weather stayed consistent, giving us solid conditions to work with on the water. We headed out with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures for their 1/2 Day Morning Bay Fishing Trip. We focused on bottom fishing, casting with lures, and bait fishing to target the redfish that frequent these waters. The combination of techniques worked well, and we managed to connect with some redfish during our time out there. These methods are reliable in this area because they cover different parts of the water column and give us multiple ways to present bait to the fish. We wrapped up the morning with some solid action and good times on the water. If you're looking to get out on the water for some quality fishing action, Today We Fish Charter and Adventures has you covered with our 1/2 Day Morning Bay Fishing Trip. We specialize in bottom fishing, casting with lures, and bait fishing techniques that consistently produce results for redfish and other species in these productive waters.
