Trip Summary

It was a beautiful day out on the water as we headed out for our (AM) Fishing Trip 5 Hours with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures. The clear conditions and great water quality at South Padre Island, TX made for an ideal fishing trip in April. This time of year is prime for targeting a variety of inshore and nearshore species, so we were excited to see what the day had in store. As soon as we got our lines in the water, the Spotted seatrout started biting. We worked the area using a variety of techniques - Popping, jigging, light tackle, and drift fishing - to see what they were responding to. It didn't take long before someone in the group had a fish on, and the back-and-forth struggle had us all on the edge of our seats. We managed to land several nice Spotted seatrout, a real highlight of the trip. The fishing stayed strong throughout the day, and we had a blast working different spots and techniques to keep the action going. In between catches, we had the chance to take in the beautiful South Texas scenery and enjoy each other's company. It was just an all-around great day on the water, the kind that reminds you why we keep coming back to chase our favorite species. If you're looking to experience the best fishing South Padre Island, TX has to offer, I can't recommend the (AM) Fishing Trip 5 Hours with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures enough. Half Day Morning Bay Trip: Solid Redfish
Half Day Morning Bay Trip: Solid Redfish
September 5, 2025
Ruben and their crew joined us for an early morning fall trip with clear conditions throughout the day. The weather stayed consistent, giving us solid conditions to work with on the water. We headed out with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures for their 1/2 Day Morning Bay Fishing Trip. We focused on bottom fishing, casting with lures, and bait fishing to target the redfish that frequent these waters. The combination of techniques worked well, and we managed to connect with some redfish during our time out there. These methods are reliable in this area because they cover different parts of the water column and give us multiple ways to present bait to the fish. We wrapped up the morning with some solid action and good times on the water. If you're looking to get out on the water for some quality fishing action, Today We Fish Charter and Adventures has you covered with our 1/2 Day Morning Bay Fishing Trip.
