Trip Summary

Heading out for a day of fishing with Jesse Adams on our (AM) Fishing Trip 5 Hours with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures was the perfect way to kick off the spring season in South Padre Island, TX. The clear conditions throughout the day were ideal for spotting those Spotted seatrout we were after. With mild temperatures and great water conditions, we were set up for an awesome day on the water. As soon as we got our lines in, the action started heating up. We tried a variety of techniques - popping cork, jigging, light tackle, and drift fishing - to cover different depths and parts of the water column. Jess was a quick learner and did a great job working the rod, and it wasn't long before she had her first Spotted seatrout on the line. The fish put up a solid fight, but he stayed calm and brought it in smoothly. Over the course of the trip, we managed to hook into quite a few more of those hard-fighting Spotted seatrout, filling the cooler with some quality inshore catches. Between the steady action and the beautiful South Padre Island scenery all around us, it was an all-around great day on the water. We had the chance to really enjoy the experience, taking in the sights and sounds while also getting the satisfaction of landing some nice fish. That's what these trips are all about - the chance to disconnect from the daily grind, take in the outdoors, and create some lasting memories out on the water. If you're looking to experience the best inshore fishing that South Padre Island has to offer, be sure to book your spot on the (AM) Fishing Trip 5 Hours with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures. Whether you're an experienced angler or just getting started, our knowledgeable guides will put you on the fish and make sure you have an amazing time out on the water. Half Day Morning Bay Trip: Solid Redfish
September 5, 2025
Ruben and their crew joined us for an early morning fall trip with clear conditions throughout the day. The weather stayed consistent, giving us solid conditions to work with on the water. We headed out with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures for their 1/2 Day Morning Bay Fishing Trip. We focused on bottom fishing, casting with lures, and bait fishing to target the redfish that frequent these waters. The combination of techniques worked well, and we managed to connect with some redfish during our time out there. These methods are reliable in this area because they cover different parts of the water column and give us multiple ways to present bait to the fish. We wrapped up the morning with some solid action and good times on the water.
