Trip Summary

2 hr today got on the White fish and some Sand dabs- smaller tasty fish. Whales and Dolphins too. When the water temp gets to 65-68 the Calico and Sand Bass will be wide open. Currently targeting the deeper bottom fish at 150-250 feet out front. some days we are fighting currents this time of year which means a lot of reeling with big weights. The Halibut bite has started. The White Sea Bass bite has started. We have sighted a couple sharks recently but the last few trips have not seen a shark. April and May starts the Mako and Thresher season. June, July, August, September and October sharking peaks. Typically, the Pelagic fish species show up between June and July- everything depends on natural bait balls, water clarity and temperatures. Last year June was epic Mako fishing and the Pelagic species showed in the beginning of July.
