Trip Summary

What a morning we had out on the water with John and the crew here at South Padre Island, Texas! The weather was partly cloudy throughout the day, but the fishing was red hot. As we met up at 7 AM, I knew this was going to be a great trip - April is prime time for both Red Drum and Spotted Seatrout in these parts, and the conditions were lining up perfectly. We started the day working different lures and depths to locate the baitfish. It didn't take long before John's rod bent over hard, and he was into a nice Redfish. That fish put up a great fight, stripping drag and making some strong runs, but John kept his cool and landed it beautifully. From there, the bite just kept getting better. The guys were tossing light tackle jigs and working the shallows, and we started seeing Spotted Seatrout oil slicks left and right. The action was nonstop, with fish smashing our baits as soon as they hit the water. In between the flurries of activity, we drifted some live bait and enjoyed the gorgeous South Padre scenery. The clear, calm waters and sunny skies made for an incredible backdrop as we reeled in fish after fish. It was one of those trips where everything just comes together - the perfect weather, hungry fish, and an enthusiastic group of anglers. By the time we wrapped up, we had a nice mixed bag of Redfish and Seatrout to show for our efforts. If you're looking to experience some of the best inshore fishing that the Lone Star State has to offer, I can't recommend a South Padre Island trip enough. Whether you're after trophy Redfish, limits of Spotted Seatrout, or just want to enjoy a fun day on the water, our 3-Hour (AM) Quick Trip has you covered. From the moment you step onboard, our team will work hard to put you on the fish and make sure you have an unforgettable experience. So what are you waiting for?

As soon as we got our lines in the water, the action started heating up. We worked a mix of jigging, light tackle, and drift fishing techniques, and it wasn't long before we were into the fish. The Spotted Trout and Redfish were feeding aggressively, putting up some awesome fights and filling our cooler. It was nonstop action, with the crew staying busy and the rods constantly bending. What a morning we had out on the water with Lee, Daniel and Caiden! We set out from South Padre Island, TX, for a 3 Hour (AM) Bay Fishing Trip with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures, and it was a blast from start to finish. May is a prime time for fishing around these parts, with the waters warming up and the Spotted Seatrout becoming quite active. When we hit the bay, the conditions were just about perfect - the clouds were starting to clear, and we had great water to work with. We wasted no time getting our lines in and covering some ground, trying different techniques like jigging, popping light tackle, and drift fishing to see what the fish were responding to. It didn't take long before the rods started bending, and we had some solid Spotted Sea trout hitting our baits. These fish really put up a great fight, making strong runs and keeping us on our toes. We managed to land a few nice ones, and it was awesome seeing the excitement on Romana's face as they reeled them in. In between the Weakfish action, we also saw some other species move through, but the Spotted Sea trout were definitely the stars of the show. The whole trip had such a fun, relaxed vibe to it. The crew were fantastic company, and we shared plenty of laughs out on the water. Even when the bite slowed down a bit, we just took in the scenery and enjoyed being out on the bay. That's what makes these trips so special - sure, the fishing action is awesome, but it's the overall experience that really makes it unforgettable. If you're looking to get out on the water in South Padre Island, TX and chase some incredible Spotted Sea Trout, I can't recommend the 3 Hour (AM) Bay Fishing Trip with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures enough.
