As soon as we got out there, the action started. We covered the area using a mix of techniques - drifting, jigging, and some deep sea fishing - to find where the fish were holding. It didn't take long before the rods started bending, and Nathan was the first to hook up, reeling in a nice Redfish that put up a great fight. From there, it was one fish after another, with the crew staying busy baiting hooks and netting the catches. The Spotted trout were particularly fired up, smashing our lures and live bait offerings with reckless abandon. The best part was the energy on the boat - everyone was engaged, cheering each other on, and just genuinely having a blast. That's the experience we strive to provide on every trip - not just filling the cooler, but creating memories that'll last long after the lines are reeled in. Between the steady fishing action, the camaraderie of the crew, and the beautiful South Padre Island scenery, it was the perfect way to kick off summer. If you're looking to get in on some of the best bay fishing around, I highly recommend booking a 3 Hour (AM) Bay Fishing Trip with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures here in South Padre Island, TX. What a fantastic morning we had out on the water today with Jeff and their crew for our Private Half-Day Morning Fishing Trip here in South Padre Island, TX! June is a prime time for inshore fishing in these parts, with the warmer weather and calm conditions making for some excellent opportunities to target species like the mighty Spotted Trout We met up at Pompano Park right at 7:00 AM and couldn't wait to get the lines in the water. As soon as we hit the flats, the fish started firing. We mixed it up, working the shallows with light tackle one moment, then shifting to some deeper water jigging and drifting to cover more ground. The crew was on point, calling out baitfish and working together to maximize our time on the water. It wasn't long before we started hooking into some feisty Spotted Trout. Those fish put up one heck of a fight, stripping line and making powerful runs, but we stayed on them and landed some real nice ones. The weather stayed pleasant all morning, with just enough cloud cover to keep things comfortable. Between the steady action and the beautiful South Padre scenery, the time flew by. Before we knew it, we were headed back to the dock, smiles all around and some great memories made.
