Had the pleasure to fish another slam tournament this past weekend with an old friend of mine. We set out that morning beginning our day throwing some artificial lures in and around creek mouths. We had success landing several decent trout on topwater. As the sun rose we busted out the cast net and rounded up a few dozen live finger mullet to use on carolina rigs in search of redfish and flounder. We immediately had success on the live mullet catching a nice slot red on our first cast with the mullet. We then had two of the three in our livewell so now it was time to go look for a Flounder. We managed to catch 7 flounder that day but couldnt find any giants. We were also able to catch several more big trout throughout the day on live mullet. Ended up weighing in a bag of 8lbs in the tournament which did not land us any prizes but we came home with plenty of delicious filets that were blackend the next day with friends and family.
