We saw lots of bait fish, dolphins and birds, but the only thing biting today were the sailfish. We had four one line that fought well, and one that we managed to get to the boat for release.

Sailfish have been plentiful and always put up a good fight and a spectacular show. This one we caught with the GoPro underwater right before he lept into the air. We caught two nice sailfish today. Tuna was nowhere in sight as water temperatures have risen, which is normal this time of year. We're just starting to get seasonal rains, which will bring the temperatures down and with that we'll start to see a lot of tuna, too.

Today was a busy day aboard Pez Loco. We're on a multi-day trip, so we're up early fishing and continue until the sun goes down! That's about 12 hours of fishing in Costa Rica. We caught 27 beautiful sailfish and 10 large yellow-finned tuna!
