Trip Summary

Another day of really fun fishing. Another mako shark today on a 3.5 hr with 4 ppl. Have not gotten the fish count yet but Captain Noah just sent me this video of Thor with the hand off of the Mako they just landed and he texted that the Bass And Barracuda bite was excellent. I spoke to the repeat client on their way back into the harbor and he was stoked Got the count 37 Bass 12 Barracuda and 1 35-40lb Male Mako shark landed.

Noah had a 6 hour with 3 anglers that caught and released 47 Calico Bass, 2 Sand Bass, 1 Sheepshead and 12 Barracuda. A few of the Barracuda were upward of 30 inches. Did not target Sharks today.Clients wanted to target Bass.

My buddy just got back from a 10 hr charter - they got Rock Fish limits at the 14 mile bank and Barracuda and Bonito at Catalina Island. Our local trips are doing better than Island trips w/ Mako Sharks at our SPOT! Local Bass and Barracuda bite has been steady.- less driving time, more fishing time! 14 Mile bank is about half way to Catalina and is a great place to fish on the way to the Island.

Big Big Barracuda " LOGS" and Bass SWEET

Wide open bite today. Clean blue 65 degree water. 2 hr charter with non stop action. I had a 3 hr charter a couple days ago and we got makeral, 1 White Sea Bass released and 4 healthy spotted bay bass released. TODAY the Barracuda were everywhere in the 28 inch and greater range much bigger than last year's Cuda. The Calico and Sandy's were attacking the surface today as well- everyone caught several species- non stop action, weather was perfect and sunny. Fish on! * Clean blue water, Barry's and Mac's mean that the big Mako's should be here feeding on them! FISH ON!
