Trip Summary

day's 5 Hour (AM) Bay Fishing Trip with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures was an absolute blast. I met up with Keith and their crew early that morning down in South Padre Island, TX, excited to get them out on the water and into some action. May is a prime time for bay fishing down in this area, with Spotted Seatrout and Redfish both actively feeding in the shallows. The weather was looking good—partly cloudy throughout the day, with some light winds to keep us comfortable. As we launched the boat and headed out, the water conditions were excellent, clear and calm, giving us great visibility to spot any baitfish or cruising gamefish. We started the day using a mix of jigging, light tackle, and drift fishing techniques, working different depths and structures to find where the fish were holding. It didn't take long before the rods started bending—Keith and the crew were into some solid Spotted Sea trout and redfish putting up great fights and keeping us on our toes. In between those hookups, we managed to land a few Seatrout and Redfish as well, adding some more variety to the box. The action stayed steady throughout the morning, with plenty of quality fish coming over the rails. Beyond just the great fishing, the real highlight was the positive energy and camaraderie of the group. Everyone was engaged, cheering each other on, and just genuinely having a fantastic time out on the water. That's what makes these trips so special—it's not just about the number of fish you catch, but the overall experience of being out on the water, enjoying the day with good company. If you're looking to get in on some incredible bay fishing action down in South Padre Island, TX, be sure to book your 5 Hour (AM) Bay Fishing Trip with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures. Half Day Morning Bay Trip: Solid Redfish
September 5, 2025
Ruben and their crew joined us for an early morning fall trip with clear conditions throughout the day. The weather stayed consistent, giving us solid conditions to work with on the water. We headed out with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures for their 1/2 Day Morning Bay Fishing Trip. We focused on bottom fishing, casting with lures, and bait fishing to target the redfish that frequent these waters. The combination of techniques worked well, and we managed to connect with some redfish during our time out there. These methods are reliable in this area because they cover different parts of the water column and give us multiple ways to present bait to the fish. We wrapped up the morning with some solid action and good times on the water.
