I met up with Keith and their crew early that morning down in South Padre Island, TX, excited to get them out on the water and into some action. May is a prime time for bay fishing down in this area, with Spotted Seatrout and Redfish both actively feeding in the shallows. It didn't take long before the rods started bending—Keith and the crew were into some solid Spotted Sea trout and redfish putting up great fights and keeping us on our toes. In between those hookups, we managed to land a few Seatrout and Redfish as well, adding some more variety to the box. The action stayed steady throughout the morning, with plenty of quality fish coming over the rails. Beyond just the great fishing, the real highlight was the positive energy and camaraderie of the group. Everyone was engaged, cheering each other on, and just genuinely having a fantastic time out on the water.
