It was a great morning of fishing with Cesar. When we pulled up some one was waiting, asking who we were fishing with. He said that he wasn’t there yet but should be there shortly. We weren’t even done in the snack shop before Nacho (?) came in and arranged for our fishing licenses. Moments later we were in the panga and on our way.
We managed to catch several bonita (before 06:30) and quite a few rooster fish later on. We also saw several bunches of humpback whales and some sea lions(Pancho) when we were back in the harbour. Also, a fish hawk or some hawk-like bird decided to run off with my bait. He decided to let go. We fished until we ran out of bait. All in all it was a great day and we would highly recommend this outfit and Captain Cesar.

I really can’t say enough about this trip. Captain was at the dock early and ready to go, he managed to get me my limit of 2 mahi mahi, a skipjack tuna which was released cause the don’t eat well, but was still fun to catch. And I had a long Battle with a striped Marlin before it broke the line.

To go into more detail, Captain Johnny made a move that only an experienced captain would make when I was battling the first Mahi Mahi, he put a live bait out when the fish was becoming more docile and let the line go out. He knew they school and there was a chance there would be more around, he was right. The moment the first fish was in the boat the second mahi mahi was on! I had my limit in about an hour.

After this he headed out to an area he knows Marlin hang out at. Where we had the hookup and saw another one swimming around on the surface.

When we were done he brought my fish to some locals and translated while we negotiated a price to pay for filleting and vacuum sealing the fish.

I could not be happier with my experience and will absolutely book with Captain Johnny on all future trips to Cabo!

Captain Cesar and this boat have magic powers!!!  This 22 ft boat is LUCKY too! As soon as we turned right out of the harbor it was one fish after another…Dorados double hook ups x2, multiple triple hook ups on Bonitas and big Sierra’s.  There was so much Non Stop action all morning that we went back to port early! Captain Cesar kept us on fish and made this trip a special one for us with 34 fish caught before 10am.

Trip started at 6am, by 6:30 we were hooked with Mahi mahi, around 7:30am spotted marlin, by 7:35am we were hooked on a marlin! The fight took about 45 minutes, the crew was on it, they had the boat following this fish, landed the fish onto the boat with no hassle, 10 minutes later, another marlin !!!!!! This one took about 25 minutes to reel up, once again crew was ON it, no tangles, no issues. Decided to come in a little early, got our Mahi mahi sashimi and cooked right at marina, THE best meal we had ! Worth it !!!  Definitely going out with Caesar again
