What a GREAT day out we had. Four fine young men and two old farts taken ten miles out from Cape Point into the shipping lanes where within an hour we were hooking up on 20kg Yellow Fin. Wonderful weather and water conditions made for a perfect combination with good luck and Byron’s great knowledge of the waters and the whereabouts of the fish. I’ve fished the Kenya coast and never had such a bountiful catch. The boat and equipment is all tip-top and worked well for a group of six rods with the crew functioning like a well oiled machine. I have never seen game fish dispatched so quickly and humanely and bled and field dressed so efficiently. Collecting half the catch the following day which the crew had organised the processing of we have 24 massive, sushi grade fillets to share with friends and family as the best kind of culinary souvenir of a first class day on the water.
