We are so sorry that you did not have the 5 star ⭐️ experience our guests are accustomed to.  We definitely did not think it was rough out there. Many boats fished out of Destin this day. We don’t take guests fishing when it’s rough and you never once mentioned that y’all thought it was rough either before the trip or during. The videos of fishing that day don’t show rough seas. Our gear is brand new this year. If we have any issues with our equipment we take it to the shop immediately. I don’t understand why you thought it was old or malfunctioning. We did have to help you with untangling your fishing lines and fixing the birds nests. That’s what the deckhands are for. Captain Denis works on the deck daily and is the owner of the boat. His wife Holly works for the company as well and does go on trips regularly helping out with bait, cleaning the deck and does join in for fishing. She even helped when y’all had the shark on. Our guests always take her fish home and she offers to let you reel them in if she hooks them. When you all stopped by earlier in the week to meet us you mentioned it would be fun if Holly joined you. We are not sure what we did or said that offended you. We always have fun fishing with our guests and do joke around. Captain Reid always puts us on the fish and we are in communication with him all day and do have codes we use to communicate during the day regarding the fishing. We do not drop an anchor at our fishing locations. The Captain works hard to hold the boat over the fish in a way that the boat doesn’t move much. If he says it’s time to leave a spot it is. We caught high grade Vermillion Snappers. And no, you would not find that size close to shore.  We caught a Shark, Red Grouper, Porgi and Amberines. We are sorry that you did not catch more.  There is not that much open to keep in May here in Destin. We don’t think this trip was a one star ⭐️ and the 5 star is always our goal. We are disappointed in this review and will continue to work hard to give our guests the best experience possible. We have had several trips after yours that have all left us 5 star reviews.
