We caught 7 big Blue Catfish, 1 large Channel Catfish, ten White Perch and a three-foot Gar on a partly cloudy, not very windy, early May morning! Our group of 6 had every level of fishing experience - heavily weighted on the first-time fishing side. We had one 72-year-old guy with a lot of freshwater fishing experience. Charles knew the Currituck Sound channels, shoals and hot spots like the back of his hand. He is a great teacher and conversationalist. He made sure all of us got to feel the tug on the line, and the fun of bringing a fish to the net and into the boat. Admirably, he does not over exaggerate. Instead, he diligently works at getting results based on decades of experience. THANK YOU! We highly recommend this group!

James was amazing! Trip with mom and 3 boys (15,14,9) he was great with the boys, helpful, and very knowledgeable. took us straight o the fish! We caught tons if perch and catfish and to end the trip we were able to catch the BIG catfish, James knew exactly what to do and made the day for these boys! Will be back with this charter every year for sure!
Had an amazing time with Captain Charles on the sound. He made the trip, keeping everyone entertained and making sure everyone was set up with bait. We saw swimming deer, birds, and of course caught a few fish to take back for dinner. My 11 year old didn’t love fishing until this trip.
We had a party of 5 on the boat, ranging from a 6 yo who has never fished or been on a boat, to grandparents in their 60’s. Captain Charlie was very friendly and accommodating. Regardless of skill level, he had patience and something to teach. The fish were jumping everywhere we went, but in the extreme heat we were lucky to get as many bites as we did. Still caught plenty of fish. If we weren’t getting hits in one spot, we’d try another. The captain was very knowledgeable of the area. Despite the oppressive heat, we still had fun. My advice would be to fish early if you really want action. Also, be advised that fish cleaning is not included in this charter, and the closest spot I could find to do it was Wanchese or Oregon Inlet, an hour away. I don’t usually mind cleaning my own fish, but the rental house we were in was not prepared for such things. That aside, we had a blast and would gladly do it again.

captain Josh knew where the fish were despite difficult conditions and ran us quite some distance to load up a cooler with white perch and several blue cats. Our 8 year old daughter cranked in the biggest two, one of which was near 18 pounds and had a blast!
