He is a fabulous guide for two novices! He is very responsive, and is exceptional at knowing the moment the weather is going to turn. We had a storm roll in while we were out, and he was able to time it perfectly for us to get packed up and back to our cars. More than happy with this trip for our first fishing charter. Mike was a fantastic captain with a wealth of knowledge for technique and more. My 11 year old caught about a dozen walleye and 2 pikes. It apparently was considered a slow day compared to what they usually pull in, but the smile on my kids face said it all. Mike was personable, kind, and we felt right at home on the water with him for 5 hours.

We had the absolute best time on our fishing trip with Mike and MQT Adventures.  Mike taught my kids how to cast and jig and once they got the hang of it the fish were “jumping” in the boat.  Mike was a great teacher and coach and shared his knowledge about fishing and the area.  We had a fabulous time and would highly recommend!  Thank you for a great memory of our UP vacation!

Capt. Mike was very friendly and knowledgeable about the lake and the species that we were fishing for. He did a great job working to make sure that we continued to catch fish during the entire outing .
