What an incredible fishing experience! I took my 12-year-old daughter out for a day on the water, and it ended up being one of those memories we’ll never forget.

From the moment we stepped aboard, the captain and first mate (who is also a captain of another local charter for our visit) were outstanding. Their professionalism, knowledge, and teamwork were evident throughout the entire trip. They worked tirelessly to keep lines in the water, quickly changing gear and adjusting tactics to keep us on fish all day long.

Not only did they help us limit out on lake trout, including our biggest fish of the day at 17 pounds, but we also had opportunities to target steelhead and king salmon. Their expertise gave us the best chance possible to experience everything the lake had to offer.

What impressed me most was the atmosphere they created. The conversation was always fun, relaxed, and engaging. Even with 3–4 foot waves for most of the trip, they kept everyone comfortable, confident, and focused on having a great time.

One thing that truly sets this crew apart is their character. At one point there were only a few boats trolling nearby, and while one boat hadn’t found any fish, our captain freely shared information about what was working for us. That willingness to help fellow anglers speaks volumes about the kind of people they are. They genuinely want everyone on the lake to have a successful and enjoyable day.

If you’re a first-time angler and are nervous about booking a trip, put your trust in these guys. They’ll make you feel comfortable, teach you along the way, and work hard to put fish in the boat. If you’re an experienced angler, they’ll keep you engaged, entertained, and fishing hard from start to finish.

Simply put, if you’re looking for a fishing charter, this is the boat you want to be on. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be back.

went on a 7 hour trip with capt sam and it was amazing. Fishing was tough and the lake was rough but capt sam and his first mate Tate worked really hard to put us on fish was constantly trying different set ups to get them to bite. we ended up with 2 kings and 3 lake trout 1 king around 15 lbs and one lake trout around the same size and 3 smaller fish. I would absoultley recommend him and will be booking another trip with him

captain sam and mike were great and got us into some really good fish. they were easy to talk to and their knowledge was off the charts. the highlight of the trip was catching a salmon on some pink tackle. best lure in the bag. future guests should be ready for a really good time on this boat. they will make a fun trip for anyone. highly recommend fish and fowl. thank you gentlemen and good luck the rest of the season.

We had a terrific morning with Capt. Sam and First mate Tate.  We caught plenty of fish.  These guys were wonderful to be with all morning, the boat was spotless and we enjoyed trolling the beautiful shore of GH. Both continued to experiment with a variety of lures and spots so we could “catch” not just fish.  Definitely recommend Capt. Sam and look forward to a return trip.

I have 3 very eager young boys ages 8, 8 and 10 that have been begging me to take them on a charter fishing trip this year.  With it being late in the season (I had to cancel an early season fishing trip due to a family health event) I was hoping to not disappoint my boys.  Captain Sam was great right from the start.  He is great with kids and my boys all caught big Kings out on Lake Michigan.  My boys are still talking about how much fun they had and are already talking about fishing with Captain Sam the owner of Fish and Fowl next summer!  We’ll definitely be chattering a trip with him next year!  What a great experience!
