What a perfect day!!

Half Day Trip - 8:00 AM3 adults1 child

Captain Lewis was the best! He made us feel like we were fishing with family. He was so kind and helpful- he had so much patience with our 9 year old grandson- we caught 5 “ keeper fish” - they were speckled trout - we took them to the restaurant at the marina - they were the best and we have some to take home to Ky. We highly recommend Captain Lewis and the Waymaker!!! You won’t be disappointed.

    Perfect First Charter for My Son and Me

    3/4 Day Trip • 3 adults • 1 child

    My 12-year-old son and I tagged along with my brother-in-law, who had previously chartered with Waymaker. Aside from casting lines into a pond, my son and I had never really fished before. Captain Lewis made everything easy and ensured the trip was an absolute blast, especially for my son, who caught a shark along with numerous other fish. We booked a six-hour charter, and Lewis’ patience, knowledge of the area, and ability to keep us on the fish really stood out. Other captains were voicing their struggles with getting bites that day, but Lewis continued finding productive spots and kept us catching fish. It was an experience my son and I will always remember. I would highly recommend Captain Lewis and Waymaker Charters, especially for families or first-time anglers.

    Amazing Trip

    Half Day Trip • 6 adults • 1 child

    Captian Lewis was awesome he took us out near shore and put us right into some spanish mackerel within the first 10 minutes of being out. Once we caught a few of them he took us out a little farther where we caught some Mahi and some albacore. It was one of the best trips I’ve ever been on. We will definitely be booking with him again.

    Never give up!

    Our first trip on the Waymaker, but we will definitely book again! Our Captain was fantastic and utilized a ton of techniques to ensure we had a great time. We went a little while without a catch, but our Captain was undeterred. He sought out new locations and read the water to find a ton of fish to fill the cooler! We had a blast!

    Special 2 hour trip for Sarah Nashed • 2 adults

    We had an absolutely wonderful time on our fishing charter! The kids caught so many fish and had the best time. Our captain was incredibly knowledgeable about what bait to use and knew exactly how to keep the fish biting. He was also energetic, engaging, and fantastic with the kids, making the experience fun for everyone. We couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water and can’t wait to come back and do it again next year! Highly recommend!

    Great experience and adventure!

    Half Day Trip - 8:00 AM • 5 adults

    Honestly, we would give them above 5 stars! It was only a 4 hour trip but the Capt and his first mate worked hard to get us to the best fishing spots even though the fish were trying to hide. We got a lot of bites and a few keepers, but the ride was great, the conversation and company was awesome, and our family made a great memory. Thankful for this company - we will book again when we're back next summer!
