We were two families with kids (ages 8 and 10), and it did not disappoint. We were reeling in rockfish cod almost nonstop, which kept the kids completely engaged and having a blast the whole time. Chris was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt taken care of. The water was a bit rougher than usual and a few of us got seasick, so we had to head in a little earlier than planned but that's the ocean, not the captain! Chris couldn't have been more accommodating about it. Even with the shorter trip, we had an incredible time and came home with a great catch. Highly recommend for families wanting real, active fishing.

Captain Chris took my parents and myself out for rock cod fishing, and we had a blast! We caught our limit easily. He knew all the best spots, and we came home with two coolers full of fish. Chris is a stand-up guy who took good care of us and made sure my parents (who are in their 70s and 80s) were comfortable the whole time. I highly recommend booking a trip with Blue Knuckles and would do it again. In fact, I am now looking to book another trip with him, this time taking my wife and mother-in-law. Thank you, Chris!

Chris was an absolute professional. He was extremely knowledgeable on the various environmental ecosystems and where to find the fish. There was not a question he didn’t answer. Catching fish was the reason we were out there but he made the trip worth it. The operation on the boat was extremely safe and his set up was very organized. Rarely did we have a pole out of the water for more than a minute! Our trip met our bag limit of Rock Fish and Lingcod within hours. This is never guaranteed and if we would have not caught a thing the trip would have still been worth it. Do yourself a favor and book with Blue Knuckle Fishing. You will not regret it. This trip was a top experience of my life.

I organized an all girls fishing trip and we had a great time. There were three of us as one of our Anglerettes had a emergency. Captain Chris was great. He was very prepared and helpful. We started out by catching sand dabs for bait for ling cod. We moved to the fishing grounds and had nonstop action. We caught our limits of rockfish plus a few ling cods, and petrale sole. I will definitely book with Blue Knuckles Sportfishing the next time I fish out of Moss Landing.

What a great family experience for my husband’s 40th birthday! We caught a variety of rockfish and lots of it! Captain Chris was great. Super helpful, kind, knowledgeable, and patient with the kids. We were even able to see some dolphins and humpback whales as a bonus. Everything was great from start to finish and even beyond after taking home our catch and eating a fantastic fish dinner. Delicious. Would definitely recommend to others and we will hopefully return for another trip!
