We had an amazing day from start to finish! The dedication and determination of these two was like no other. The fishing had been slow for days but that did not stop them from trying. Issac kept changing out lures and bait constantly until he found something that worked. They put us on a beautiful 100# sailfish. Our day was running out. When most captains would call it and head back in they fished until the last minute and we were rewarded with another beautiful sailfish. Thank you Captain Mario and best Mate Issac for a day we will never forget! A special thank you to Maria for those amazing homemade sandwiches!

The captain Mario and Mate Issac got us on fish and worked the whole time keeping us on them. The fleet at Tamarindo didn’t do well on the day we went out but we landed and released 3 sailfish as well as 3 skip jack. Issac worked hard switching the teasers and keeping fresh bait in the water. We had several teaser hits that we were not able to hook up and had constant excitement. Issac was engaging and we landed fish almost every 45 minutes. Fishing out of North Carolina, Virginia and Alabama this was by far the most enjoyable trip i have been on. Highly recommend.

The captain and crew are the best.Very talented!!!! Very accommodating.They put us on the fish all day.We caught yellowfin sailfish, mahi, amazing. the crew was also very accommodating with the weather tons of snacks and beer on board and the provided lunch was amazing chicken sandwiches, mario and luis are phenomenal on that boat.If you want to catch big fish book with them!!!!

We met Maria on the beach at 730am. She was a fantastic way to start the experience. She was extremely kind and hospitable. We thought that the day would continue with the same hospitality. However,  once we boarded the boat, the mood shifted very quickly. There was no welcome from the Captain or Mate. Neither one explained the safety protocols or where anything was otber then the head located below. The only thing the captain asked was what fish we wanted to target. About 30 minutes into the trip, the deckhand finally started talking to us. Bothe captain and deckhand spent most of the time on the flybridge above us. while fishing for sailfish, we stumbled on a mahi mahi. Needless to say, it was the only fish we caught all day. about 5 hours in we started to see some professionalism with changing baits and teasers. The Balihoo were beatup when we finally changed the bait out. The deckhand shared some photos of other anglers catching marlin and sailfish from other trips and let us know that other trips were very successful.  It wasn’t until the final hour of the day that both the captain and deckhand really stared to show signs of trying harder to get us on some fish. 1200 dollars and a 200 dollar tip was what we paid for a subpar experience. I personally ran a charter business in Alaska for 25 years and you should still be able to sell the day and experience regardless of the fishing conditions. Thats the art of guiding! we both felt that we were inconveniencing the crew by being onboard. I hope this review helps them both to become more hospitable and care about the experience instead of the fish. After all it is fishing, and there are no guarantees when going out.
