Our fishing trip with Wet Tails Charters was absolutely fantastic. Even though the weather was rough and it was raining heavily, Captain Ed Taylor and his first mate Ian worked nonstop to make sure we still had a great day on the water. We caught dozens of fish — even if they weren’t exactly the target species we were hoping for — but there were plenty of great fights and solid action. The experience that Captain Ed and his sidekick Ian delivered was top-class. Honestly, it was outstanding, especially considering these were some of the worst weather conditions Key West has seen in a long time. We will 100% be coming back again — even though we’re traveling all the way from northern Europe, Finland, with a 12-hour flight. Thank you Ed & Ian! Best regards, Tomas Bomberg & rock star Frank 🎣🤘

    Great time fishing

    Had a great time with Wet Tails Charters! We went out for a 4-hour trip and got to do a little bit of everything. We started out fishing for snapper, then switched it up and trolled for mahi, and even made an attempt at getting on some tuna. Really enjoyed that they were willing to move around and try different things to put us on fish instead of just sticking with one spot or one type of fishing. Great experience all around, and we had a blast being out on the water. Definitely recommend Wet Tails Charters if you’re looking to fish in the Keys!

    Awesome Time on Water

    We had an absolute blast on our charter today with Wet Tails Charters out of Marathon in the Florida Keys! From booking to the end of the day, everything was seamless and professional. Captain Ed was awesome—super knowledgeable, friendly, and an absolute pro at finding the fish. He put us right on the action, and we caught lots of great fish all day long. The variety and quality of the catch made it a trip we’ll remember for years.  Big shoutout to the co-captain / first mate as well! He was fantastic—kept everything running smoothly, helped with the lines, and made sure everyone was comfortable and having fun the whole time. The teamwork between Captain Ed and the co-captain was outstanding. We even got to fix (soak up) that beautiful Florida sun while reeling in the catches—perfect weather, crystal clear waters, and an unforgettable experience on the sturdy 31’ Stamas boat. The boat was comfortable with plenty of room. Highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for a memorable day fishing in the Keys. Professional, fun, family-friendly, and fish-filled from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you, Captain Ed and Co-Captain—you guys made it amazing! 🎣☀️

    Mahi mania, a wahoo win, and one that got away 🎣🔥

    What a day. The seas were choppy and a few of us were feeling it, but this crew kept things fun, light, and dialed in the entire time. We ended up landing 14 mahi and a wahoo, and even had a shot at a monster sailfish (the one that got away will definitely be talked about for a while 😄). Captain Ed and First Mate Mikey knew exactly where to go, kept us on the fish, and were awesome with the kids—making sure everyone got in on the action. They handled everything, coached us through, and made it easy to just enjoy the experience. It honestly felt like a perfect mix of adventure, chaos, and big wins. If you’re looking for a trip where you actually catch fish and have a great time doing it—this is your crew.

    Charter Fishing Marathon FL

    We had an absolutely fantastic experience with this fishing charter in Marathon, FL—especially as a family with kids. From the moment we got on the boat, the captain and crew made everyone feel welcome and comfortable, taking extra time to engage with the kids and make sure they were involved every step of the way. They were incredibly patient, teaching the kids how to bait hooks, cast, and reel in fish without ever making it feel rushed or overwhelming. The crew knew exactly where to go to keep the action steady, which kept the kids excited and focused the whole trip. The boat was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a great day on the water. If you’re looking for a family-friendly fishing charter in Marathon, this is the one. They went above and beyond to make it memorable for both the kids and adults. Highly recommend.

    Incredible charter

    Captain Ed and crew are amazing. My 8 year old son and I went for a four hour charter. My son had never fished in saltwater before. Captain Ed and crew (his son) could not have been more patient and informative. I’m sure there are other captains and crews that are kid friendly however, these guys actually enjoyed having my son on board and teaching him about yhe fish and fishing techniques. We hit our limit on snapper but also caught a puffer fish and a few other species. we cannot thank Captain Ed enough. We will certainly be back, next time will do a longer charter.
